General Information

Bereans Winter Retreat (BWR) is a college and career retreat hosted by Believers Fellowship. BWR will begin on Friday, January 3rd and will conclude on Sunday, January 5th at Deer Creek Camp in Medina, TX. This year, our theme is "The True Church".

Speaker

This year we have the privilege of hearing from Mike Kotecki from Grace Immanuel in Jupiter, Florida. 

Mike was raised in Jupiter, FL and has been at Grace Immanuel for over 25 years. His father, Bob, was the chairman of the elder board for over 10 years. After graduating from college at Samford University, Mike traveled around until settling back home. He was then exposed to a steady diet of the faithful preaching of Pastor Jerry. After a few years of the Lord’s drawing work, Mike was reading through Isaiah 53 one evening, and the Lord moved on his heart and saved him and he repented of his sin. Soon after, he met his future wife Melanie, and they were married a two years later. They have been blessed with three boys: Kaden, Logan, and Xander. Mike attended The Expositors Seminary, graduating in 2020, and joined the pastoral staff at GIBC in 2021.

Payment information

The total cost of BWR is $175. This cost will cover such things as lodging, meals, a T-shirt, and activities.

Transportation

Each church will be carpooling from the church to and from the retreat. Transportation plans will be made final one week from departure.
