Dr. Bruce Blakey has a B.A. degree from the University of Southern California, an M.Div. as well as a D.Min. from The Master’s Seminary. After 14 years in management with a major bank, Bruce has been in pastoral ministry since 1991. He pastored Believers Fellowship from 1995-2005; then, after two years on the pastoral staff at Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, Bruce returned to Believers Fellowship in September 2007.
Bruce and his wife, Roberta, have three married sons and ten grandchildren.
Chance Hunt is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary. Chance and his wife, Nicci, have been involved in student ministry since 2007 and love to see young people mature in their love for Christ and His Word. Chance currently oversees the student ministries department at Believers Fellowship in San Antonio.
His passion is to make Christ known both inside and outside of the Church. Chance and Nicci also have four daughters - Bryndal, Mailie, Harper, and Adley.
Children's Ministry Director
After spending 11 years as a community college math teacher, Aeron Ives went to The Master's Seminary in 2015, earning an M.Div. degree in 2018. While in seminary, he served as an intern in Children's Ministry at Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, where he discovered a love for ministering to children and their parents. He has been at Believers Fellowship since July 2018.
Aeron and his wife, Sarah, have been blessed with three children -- Luke, Sophie, and Josh.
Administrator/Director of Counseling
Josh Stanley is a graduate of the Masters University and holds a Master's degree in Biblical Counseling and is certified by ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors). He currently serves as Administrator and Director of Counseling at Believers Fellowship and has been on staff since 2008. Before coming to Believers Fellowship Josh served at several churches as a student minister. Both Josh and his wife Alyssa (who is also pursuing an ACBC certification) have a passion for Biblical Counseling and application for God's word for every situation.
Josh's greatest desire is to see God glorified and see others be the worshippers He has called us to be.
Assistant Office Manager
Katy Hillner is a lifelong Believers Fellowship attendee. She started serving in the nursery at age 12 and since 2014 has been serving in the High School and L.I.G.H.T.S. ministry.
She is a graduate of the UTSA College of Business where she majored in Management. While going to school full time, she also worked in youth development at the YMCA for 6 years. Upon graduation, she worked as a client service associate in a local wealth management firm.
She has since started working fulltime at Believers Fellowship as an assistant office administrator. She loves that her job allows her to serve the people she cares most about.
